Tarek Mahmud, Ph.D.
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Texas A&M University–Kingsville. I received my Ph.D. in Computer Science from Texas State University in 2024, where my dissertation focused on detecting, analyzing, and repairing API evolution-induced issues in Android applications.
My research focuses on software engineering, software security, and artificial intelligence for software development. In particular, I study mobile software engineering, software evolution and maintenance, large language models for software engineering, and techniques for improving the reliability and security of modern software systems.
